Below, you'll find some Frequently Asked Questions about Book Club.  If your question is not answered here, please feel free to contact Mrs. G.!  We hope you'll join us!

Q:  What happens at Breakfast Book Club?
A:  Mrs. G. reads aloud from an interesting chapter book.

Q:  Who Can Attend Breakfast Book Club?
A:  Anyone!  Breakfast Book Club is open to all SES students.

Q:  When is Breakfast Book Club?
A:  Third Grade Breakfast Book Club is on Tuesday morning at 7:30.  4th and 5th Grade Breakfast Book Club is on Wednesday morning at 7:30.

Q:  Where does Breakfast Book Club meet?
A:  Breakfast Book Club meets in Room 307.  (The second to last door on the left as you go down the fourth grade hallway.)

Q:  Do I have to come every week?
A:  No!  If you miss a week because you are absent, or late to school, or if you need to work on something in your classroom, you are always welcome to re-join us the following week.  Also, if you've never been to Breakfast Book Club before and would like to try it out, you are welcome to come at any time!

Q:  If I'm not interested in the story, can I leave?
A:  If you decide that you're not interested in the story, please don't leave in the middle of Book Club.  Once you are in the Book Club room, you need to remain there until dismissed so that you don't distract others by getting up in the middle of the story.  If you decide that Book Club is not for you, you are not under any obligation to come back the following week..

Q:  What should I bring?
A:  If you're in 5th grade, you should bring your backpack and all of your belongings, because you will be dismissed from the Book Club room to go directly to your classroom.  You will not be able to go back to the Specials building to pick up your things.
If you're in 3rd or 4th grade, you only need to bring yourself!  You will be given time to go back to your hallway and gather your things before going to class.

Q:  How should I behave when I'm at Breakfast Book Club?
A:  You should use your best "Good Listener" behavior.

Q:  How do you choose the books we read for Breakfast Book Club?
A:  Mrs. G. usually selects the first book of the year, and often chooses a title from the year's list of Bluebonnet books.  After the first book, Mrs. G. will usually conduct 5-6 short book talks over other options and allow the Book Club members to vote on what they'd like to hear next.
